Open Door for Parents needs your support
Keep the door open and get the extra benefits of a paid subscription!
Open Door for Parents began in March of this year. Since then, I've created 30 posts, three recorded webinars (with two more coming soon), and a bunch of live, online events.
I started Open Door for Parents because of the urgent need I'm seeing for realistic and trustworthy information for parents about children's feelings and friendships.Â
I want to keep doing this until I am dragged away kicking and screaming because I love this work, and I care deeply about helping children and families. I want to continue offering parents genuinely useful ideas for helping kids understand and cope with feelings and build meaningful friendships. I hope you will continue to join me in this mission.
Because I have a more-than-full-time job as a clinical psychologist, I can't create Open Door for Parents on my own. I've hired a videographer to help with the 2-min. videos, so you get high-quality video and audio, plus I have two part-time helpers who assist with the webinars, social media, and other organizational tasks. I plan and write all of the content myself.Â
The amount of money I am losing every month to bring you this content is not sustainable.
So, starting tomorrow, free subscribers will receive about one post per month, and I will also be offering a paid subscription option.
Paid subscribers will receive:
A coupon code each month for $20 off a live or recorded webinar (starting 10/20/22). You can see the list of webinars HERE. More are coming.
The ability to submit questions for possible future posts.
Access to the complete archive of Open Door for Parents posts. Coming soon, paid subscribers will also have access to a growing list of brief videos and articles related to particular friendship challenges for kids, so you can quickly find the advice you need.
There's no shortage of information on the web. What is in short supply is curated, trustworthy guidance.Â
