WELCOME TO OPEN DOOR FOR PARENTS The American Academy of Pediatrics, the Children's Hospital Association, and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry have declared children’s mental health a national emergency. I see this crisis very directly in my practice. Every day, I get calls from people who want to talk to a psychologist, but there are physical limits to how many people I can see in my practice. It hurts my heart to have to turn people away.
